Fresh blow for Love Island as second star is caught up in police probe - after Kyle Ashman was axed following machete attack fall out

Love Island contestant Dejon Noel-Williams was reportedly questioned by police after a woman complained her phone had been stolen.

Dejon confirmed in a statement to MailOnline: 'Out of respect to the other people involved here, I would prefer not to have to address this, but I have no choice given that the narrative that has been put forward is unfairly damaging and completely inaccurate. Another victim was reportedly glassed, one hit with a metal pole, and two people were run over by a car during the 15 minute attack at the The White Eagle Club in Stafford. A show source told the publication: 'ITV were entirely unaware of Kyle’s past and, as he was not charged, it was not flagged as part of Love Island’s stringent DBS checks.
