French sales agents addressed Russia’s pole position in a panel after the presentation of the report within the framework of Unifrance’s annual Paris Rendez-vous. She cited other arguments such as that selling French and European cinema to Russia provided an alternative to government propaganda, or that cultural boycotts rarely worked.
