French Romantic Comedy ‘The Doll’ Starring Vincent Macaigne, Cécile de France and Zoe Marchal in Love Triangle Boarded by Urban Sales (EXCLUSIVE)

Urban Sales has boarded 'The Doll,' a romcom starring Vincent Macaigne ('Maria'), Cécile de France ('The New Pope') and Zoé Marchal ('Overdose').

Blending heartwarming comedy and fantasy, the film stars Macaigne as Rémi, synthetic turf seller who has been sharing his life with a life-sized doll named Audrey (Marchal) ever since his last breakup which left him heartbroken. “On this hilarious feel-good film, Sophie Beaulieu playfully addresses genre clichés through a witty and unexpected love triangle, brilliantly embodied by an A-list cast,” said Urban’s head of sales Florencia Gil. Urban Sales’ Cannes slate also includes “The Hermit and the Bear,” a French animated feature inspired by the works of Quentin Blake; Gabriel Klinger’s wine drama “Isabel,” produced by RT Features, the Oscar-winning producers of “I’m Still Here”; “Space Cadet,” a family-driven CGI animation, and the Olympics-set comedy “That Summer in Paris,” both widely sold since Berlin.
