French Electro Musician Rone Bonds With a Whale in New Documentary From ‘Ailo’s Journey’ Producers; Pulsar to Launch Sales at EFM (EXCLUSIVE)
"The Musician and The Whale," a documentary featuring electro musician Rone, has been boarded by Pulsar Content ahead of the EFM in Berlin.
Shot between the Reunion Island, France’s Brittany and Paris, “The Musician and The Whale” came about after some sailors noticed that Rone’s music attracted cetaceans to come play close to their boats. “We were totally blown away by this incredible story when we first heard about it and are thrilled to bring Valentin’s feature to a wide international audience as well as festivals,” said the French sales company in a statement, also describing “The Musician and the Whale” as an “an enchanted encounter involving a world famous artist” and a “daring and unique approach in exposing these animals’ intelligence.” Pulsar Content’s EFM lineup will also include Chloé Robichaud’s Sundance competition sex comedy “Two Women;” Alice Douard’s “Love Letters” starring Ella Rumpf and Monia Chokri ; Damien Dorsaz’s biopic “Lady Nazca;” Leonardo DiCaprio and Jane Goodall exec-produced adventure “Howl;” French actress Joséphine Japy feature debut “The Wonderers” starring Mélanie Laurent, Pierre-Yves Cardinal and Angelina Woreth.
