Freezing cold weather health warning issued with rare alert as temperatures plummet
The UK Health Security Agency has issued a warning with the national forecaster for regions across the country, with an amber cold health alert in place from Thursday, 2 January
In collaboration, the UK Health Security Agency and the national forecaster have sent out a joint warning to every region in anticipation of heavy snowfall and biting cold. WXCharts' latest graphic reveals a massive wave of icy conditions sweeping over Scandinavia, through Europe, and hitting the UK hard. Despite a mild Christmas with temperatures in double digits and foggy conditions, it seems we're in for a major switch-up as this deep freeze drifts in from the east.
