Free movie series returns to downtown Louisville in May


Movies will once again be showing for free in downtown Louisville starting next month.

The downtown drive-in at Waterfront Park's Brown-Forman Amphitheater will kick off this year's series on May 16 with "Pitch Perfect." "The rest of the schedule is as follows: June 6: "Happy Gilmore" June 20: "Fast and Furious" July 11: "Pretty in Pink" August 1: "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" August 22: "Men in Black" September 19: "Moana" September 26: "Jaws" October 3: "Mean Girls" October 10: "Ghostbusters" Movies will begin at sundown each Friday night, with the amphitheater opening an hour before each movie. Seating is first-come, first-served.There will be vendors, such as Froggy's Popcorn and Please & Thank You, on site for guests to purchase snacks.There will be free parking available in the Tan and Turquoise lots.
