Freddie Flintoff shows off his fully healed face as he announces new Disney+ documentary about horror Top Gear crash - two years after the accident left him 'lucky to be alive'

Named Flintoff, the film will look at the impact of his serious car crash that happened whilst filming BBC motoring show Top Gear in 2022 at its test track at Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey.

Filming on Top Gear was suspended and the future of the show - which he co-hosted alongside comedian Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris - remains in question after it was put on indefinite hiatus last November. The cricket legend admitted the after effects of the crash might follow him 'for the rest of my life' and said he believes he 'genuinely shouldn't be here' after he flipped a three-wheeled car at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome while filming for Top Gear. But after Flintoff returned to the public eye as he went back to his first passion - cricket - fans were left heartbroken for the star as the extent of his facial injuries were revealed in September 2023.
