Frank Luntz, a pollster and political commentator, vociferously took to social media to calm the waters around goodwill toward the cadets of the United States Military Academy at West Point as among the most talented young leadership of today in America. Dale Carraher, operating under the handle DaCaRet2022, dismissed the post as worthless, wondering why Luntz would ever bother making statements about public issues; to wit, by speaking anything on the news media, he has given a beacon light to say: ‘Cannot be trusted!’ Elsewhere, Forward Guidance implied that there was nothing run-of-the-mill about West Point and so the whole comparison was somewhat absurd.
