Frank Grillo Teases ‘Superman’ Role And Reveals Why He Prefers DC To Marvel

Frank Grillo has a new home at DC! The former Marvel star reveals why he prefers his role as Rick Flag Sr. as well as hints at his role in Superman.

Much like DC Studios co-chair James Gunn, Grillo is actually a refugee from the Marvel universe, having previously portrayed Crossbones in the Captain America franchise. Ever since he was cast as Rick Flag Sr., the actor has been vocal that he prefer the world James Gunn has crafted at DC Studios over what he was doing over with Marvel. While the actor held his cards close to his chest as to not spoil James Gunn’s upcoming reboot, he did reveal that his role would be rather small compared to what some fans might expect.
