Fox Pulls In $800M In Super Bowl Ad Revenue
Fox Corp. says it collected more than $800 million in advertising revenue from its broadcasts and streams of Super Bowl LIX on Fox, Fox Deportes and Tubi.
Due to the dominance of the NFL and the scarcity of live, broad-audience showcases for their brand messages, advertisers pushed pricing to a new record, with multiple spots fetching $8 million for 30 seconds. Earlier this month, Fox cited strong results in sports and political advertising as a key driver of its quarterly financial performance. In its earnings report for the October-to-December quarter, the company credited the election as well as Major League Baseball playoffs, college football and the NFL.
