Fousheé On Her New Album ‘Pointy Heights’ and Family Legacy
In an interview with BET, Fousheé discusses how a family trip to Jamaica reshaped her new album and previews her first solo tour.
Named after a land her grandfather purchased with the dream of building a family community, the album represents a shift from the energetic, R&B-punk style of her debut, softCORE. With this Pointy Heights, she delves into indie reggae rhythms and incorporates melodies influenced by her roots, further demonstrating her abilities as a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. Fousheé earned three Grammy nominations last year for her songwriting on Lacy’s hit single “Bad Habit” and spent the following months opening for him on his global tour.
