Former Disney child star Alyson Stoner says online dating makes them feel like they're 'not a human' when potential suitors focus on their fame: 'It's a mind game'


Former Disney star Alyson Stoner got candid about how fame has complicated their romantic life. The 30-year-old actor, who uses they/them pronouns, shared that online dating can feel 'dehumanizing.'

Stoner has appeared in movies like Cheaper by the Dozen and Step Up, as well as TV series Drake & Josh, That's So Raven and Camp Rock after starting their acting career at the age of three. They went on to become a Disney Channel star by appearing in Drake & Josh, That's So Raven, The Suite Life of Zach and Cody, and most notably, Camp Rock. Now, Alyson spends their time speaking out against the discrimination faced against those who are queer, and has even penned a book titled Mind Body Pride to help people form a deeper connection with their sexuality.
