Former Disney Channel Executive Says Zendaya Auditioned “Many Times” For ‘Descendants’: “It Ended Up Not Going Her Way”
Zendaya could have been part of Disney Channel's Descendants franchise.
Former Vice President of Casting and Talent Relations at the children’s network Cornelia Frame revealed that the Euphoria star wanted to be part of the franchise and auditioned multiple times. “Zendaya did audition many times for Descendants, and that was a big deal,” Frame said during an interview on the Magical Rewind podcast. The film centers around the teenage children of classic Disney villains like Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella de Vil.
