Former BBC presenter Beccy Barr has died following her battle with cancer. Tributes have poured in on X. Read more here.

Beccy, who gave up her TV career to become a firefighter in 2019, shared her incurable cancer diagnosis late last year. She spent her last few days at @SJHospice who provided the most dignified and compassionate care to Beccy and her whole family. In December 2023, former BBC North West Tonight journalist Beccy shared her incurable cancer diagnosis.
