Football star forced to retire aged 25 after falling into a coma and fracturing skull
A footballer star has been forced to retire from the sport at the age of 25 after he was involved in a horrific accident which saw him in a coma and suffer a serious head injury
Alex, 25, was involved in an accident in 2022 when he crashed into an advertising hoarding while playing for Bath City in a National League South clash against Dulwich Hamlet. Alex confirmed the news in a social media post and wrote: "For me, carrying on playing football would be one step too far, and I'm really gutted about it. Away from football, Alex welcomed a baby boy called Lorenzo with his wife, Ellie Fletcher this summer.
