Ms Pugh appears topless in the UK cut of the film, about the life of the American theoretical physicist and his creation of the atomic bomb, but CGI was used to preserve her modesty in versions shown in India and the Middle East. Co-starring Emily Blunt as Oppenheimer's wife Kitty and Robert Downey Jr as Lewis Strauss, one of his most prominent critics, Nolan's film is favourite to be named Best Picture at the Oscars.
