Five UK cities facing heavy snowfall as soon as 'this weekend'
The UK is set to be hit by snow as early as this weekend, with three major cities at risk, according to Met Office maps, as cold air is set to sweep in from the north
Weather maps from WX Charts, with Met Desk data, illustrate the dip as we journey further into November and approach December and the festive season. Compounding this chilly outlook, Deputy Chief Meteorologist Mark Sidaway explains: "The high pressure that has been responsible for the mainly dry weather through much of this week will retrogress into the Atlantic as we get towards the weekend. "In addition to this increased rainfall, which could be heavy at times on Sunday, temperatures will also drop, especially for those in Scotland, as a northerly airflow develops, bringing colder Arctic air to some northern areas.
