The first look has been revealed of Tom Tykwer's 'The Light,' which Beta Cinema will be selling at the upcoming European Film Market.
The first look has been revealed of “The Light,” Tom Tykwer ’s return to the big screen after seven years and four seasons as writer and director of the hit series “Babylon Berlin.” In “The Light” (Das Licht), which is set in present day in Berlin, Tykwer draws the portrait of a modern family between collapse and new beginnings and deals with the big issues of our times, in a world that is reeling. “The Light” stars Lars Eidinger (“Dying,” “Persian Lessons,” “Personal Shopper,” “The Clouds of Sils Maria”), Nicolette Krebitz (“AEIOU,” “Wild”), Elke Biesendorfer, Julius Gause and Elyas Eldridge as the Engels family, who seemingly have nothing left to hold them together when housekeeper Farrah (Tala al Deen) enters their lives.
