First look at Suranne Jones playing British Prime Minister in new Netflix drama The Choice


New images from the set of Suranne Jones' upcoming Netflix series The Choice have given TV fans a sneaky glimpse of what to expect from the nail-biting political thriller

The main plot of The Choice follows the journey of newly elected British prime minister Abigail Dalton, played by Suranne Jones, whose popularity is slipping in the polls due to an ongoing healthcare crisis. Suranne sported a beautiful double breasted coat complete with large red floral embellishment (Image: CLICK NEWS AND MEDIA)Realising both women are in dire straits, they agree to hold a summit to try and secure a mutually beneficial alliance, however things go far from smoothly when Abigail’s husband is kidnapped and Vivienne is blackmailed, leading the two to form an uneasy rivalry as they both struggle to stay afloat in a political landscape marred by scheming, backstabbing and most importantly - danger. Created by Matt Charman, who also delighted audiences with Bridge of Spies, the show promises to be a thrilling watch with plenty of drama, intrigue and unexpected twists, but fans hoping to tune in will have to wait as the series isn’t expected to hit Netflix screens until 2025.
