First look at female detective in hotly-anticipated Death in Paradise spin-off show
The first trailer for Death in Paradise's spin-off series, Return to Paradise, has been released and showcases the first female detective in the history of the Death in Paradise franchise
In the clip, we catch a glimpse of Mackenzie's rocky road home to Dolphin Cove, where even the cab ride is a battleground as she insists, "I am a paying customer," only to face a cabbie's eye-roll and the biting line: "I can't believe you came back," reports the Mirror. The description for Return to Paradise reveals: "When a murder takes place in Dolphin Cove, Mack can't help but put her inspired detective brilliance to good use and determines, despite her reservations, that she needs to make the best of it." Lloyd Griffith is the local detective who is none too pleased by Mack's arrival (Image: ABC)Sue Deeks, BBC's Head of Programme Acquisition, shared her enthusiasm about the series, saying: "Everything we all love about Death in Paradise, the humour, the beautiful scenery, the likeable characters, the ingenious plots - now in a fabulous Australian setting."
