James Bye looks decidedly dashing in first look images of his new role as Mr Darcy in the new stage production of Death Comes to Pemberley.

However, fans needn't mourn long as James has thrown himself straight into his new role, with the actor channeling Jane Austen's famous character in new promotional images. Speaking about the exciting new role, James said in a statement: 'After a decade of gritty storylines it’s going to be quite a switch to put on period clothes as one of literature’s romantic leading men, but I can’t wait for this new chapter to begin.' 'James' performance in tonight's live episode was nothing short of outstanding and one that I know will touch so many of you watching at home due to his loveable portrayal of Martin Fowler, which has made him a firm favourite amongst the viewers.
