The 58 year old star also made a name for herself on Good Morning Britain and on Celebrity Big Brother, and enjoyed a long and successful career as an ITV news reporter in the North East and Cumbria prior to her transition. As the date unfolded on screen, fans were quick to take to social media to share their thoughts, with many even fearing for Gareth’s safety after the macabre topic of conversation.
