First Captain America: Brave New World footage teases Harrison Ford's President Ross who wants to rebuild Avengers
In the trailer, President Thaddeus 'Thunderbolt' Ross is the target of an attempted assassination that is thwarted by Captain America/Sam Wilson.
The preview depicted Wilson 'engaged in hand-to-hand combat' with the would-be assassins 'while dodging bullets as he desperately tries to rescue the leader of the free world from a daring attack on the White House,' Variety reported. In Avengers: Endgame, the original Captain America, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), renounced his superhero status, clearing the path for Wilson to emerge as the patriotic hero. The cast of the tentpole picture, which is directed by Julius Onah, includes Danny Ramirez, Tim Blake Nelson, Shira Haas, Carl Lumbly and Liv Tyler.
