First African Adaptation of Global Hit ‘Liar’ Trailer Unveiled From Series Mania (EXCLUSIVE)
All3Media International and Botswana Ignite reveal the first African adaptation of Liar, featuring a stellar African cast, premiering April 2025.
“There is an exciting pool of young filmmaking talent here that fueled the creative drive to produce a uniquely compelling African version of this powerful and universally relevant story.” The six-part thriller, featuring celebrated actors Motsoaledi Setumo (“The Wife,” “Soweto Love Story”) and Maxwell Dichi (“Generations,” “Muvhango”), wrapped principal photography in November 2024. Botswana Ignite, a government-backed industry program in partnership with Steve Harvey Global, is playing a key role in the country’s film and TV expansion.
