First ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Trailer Declares the Antihero Is “Marvel Jesus’

The trailer also confirmed rumors that the Time Variance Authority, the multi-verse hopping organization at the center of Disney+’s Loki, will play a key role in the film, which introduces Ryan Reynolds’ antihero to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The trailer begins at a birthday party for Wade Wilson (AKA Deadpool) that is interrupted by agents from the TVA, who take him back to headquarters and enlist him on a mission. And though Hugh Jackman launched the modern superhero age with 2000’s X-Men, this also marks the first MCU movie to feature the actor, who comes out of retirement as Wolverine for the film.
