First ‘Borderlands’ Trailer Sends Cate Blanchett and Kevin Hart to “Dumpster Fire of a World”

The first look at the video game adaptation has strong 'Guardians of the Galaxy' vibes.

Cate Blanchett leads a cast as Lilith, the outlaw leader of a crew on a mission to retrieve a treasure from a vault on a planet she describes as a “dumpster fire of a world.” Kevin Hart is in the mix as Roland, while Jamie Lee Curtis stars as Tannis. The cast also includes Jack Black as the voice of the robot claptrap, and Ariana Greenblatt, Florian Munteanu, Haley Bennett and Édgar Ramirez. It is based on the popular video game series and has long been in the works, with filmmaker Eli Roth completing and releasing entirely different movie ( Thanksgiving) since wrapping filming on the feature.
