FilmSharks Snatches Worldwide Rights to ‘60s Era Comedy, ‘Virgins,’ as Teaser Bows Ahead of Malaga Premiere (EXCLUSIVE)
FilmSharks has nabbed the worldwide rights to “Virgins” the latest comedy by Álvaro Díaz Lorenzo, ahead of its premiere at the Malaga Film Festival.
Buenos Aires-based FilmSharks has swooped on the worldwide rights to “Virgins” (“Virgenes”) the latest comedy by Álvaro Díaz Lorenzo (“Lord, Give Me Patience”) ahead of its premiere at the Malaga Film Festival on March 17. With a stellar cast led by César Vicente Romero (“Pain and Glory”), Xavi Caudevilla (“Los Protegidos ADN”)and Carlos Scholz (“Awareness”), “Virgins” is set in 1960s tourist haven Torremolinos in Southern Spain where Northern Europeans have escaped to in the winter months. With Málaga as the premier showcase for Spain’s most beloved films, we are confident this project will find a strong home across all windows,” said Federico Pascua, head of International Sales & Acquisitions at FilmSharks.
