Indeed, his most daring TV moment – in which he removed his tie mid-broadcast while hosting ITV’s Good Morning Britain – was considered noteworthy enough to spark national newspaper headlines. One ITV insider told the Daily Mail: ‘Ben is too boring to cause trouble – he’s more interested in a long walk and feeding the ducks in the local park than a celebrity party, and in all his years on television has literally never done anything remotely controversial.’
