Female-Centric Biblical Series ‘The Faithful’ Based on Book of Genesis Ordered at Fox From ‘CSI’ Producer Carol Mendelsohn
Fox has greenlit 'The Faithful,' a biblical series following five women from the Old Testament, for next spring.
Carol Mendelsohn executive produces the project via her overall deal at the network. “The Faithful” will run for six episodes over the course of three weeks around Easter and Passover and follow Sarah, Hagar, Rebekah, Leah and Rachel, whose descendants were foundational figures in Christianity, Judaism and Islam. Per the logline, the series is told through the eyes of the courageous and passionate, yet flawed women” and tells stories of “discovering and losing love, the challenges of marriage, the joys and heartbreak of children, confronting temptation and finding faith.”
