Fat Joe, Kenya Barris & Dominic Colón Developing ‘The Book Of Jose’ At Starz

Fat Joe, Kenya Barris & Dominic Colón are developing a TV series based on the life of the rapper called 'The Book of Jose' from Starz and BET Studios.

Colón is a writer and actor from the Bronx, New York, whose television pilot Papi, made The Blacklist’s inaugural Latinx TV List. Most recently, he served as a writer on the upcoming Netflix dramedy The Corps, the final TV series produced by Norman Lear, who died in 2023. Additionally, Colón has taught acting and playwriting at NYC high schools, hospitals, juvenile detention facilities, and Rikers Island.
