Fans rejoice as classic BBC series returns to screens with reboot 65 YEARS after it first aired
The popular series has been adapted for screen multiple times, with Rupert Davies taking on the leading role in 1960.
Benjamin Wainwright will this time take on the role of the 'unconventional' young detective in the modern PBS reboot as he emerges as 'a rising star in the Police Judiciaire'. Also making up the cast will be a string of TV talents including The Inbetweeners star Blake Harrison, Sex Education's Reda Elazouar and The Gold's Stefanie Martini. The series was dropped by ITV after just four episodes aired over two seasons, but Rowan told The Daily Mail's Alison Boshoff that it wasn't his decision to cancel it.
