Fans go wild as Oasis release new material: Band debut alternative version of Sad Song by Liam Gallagher to mark 30 years of Definitely Maybe - but enthusiasts share major disappointment

The band's debut studio album was released August 29 1994 and featured brothers Liam and Noel, Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs, Paul 'Guigsy' McGuigan, and Tony McCarroll.

New reissue, Sad Song (Mauldeth Road West Demo, Nov ’92), sees Liam on vocals whereas the original was recorded by Noel and made available only as a bonus track on the LP. Fans can also dive into new sleeve notes from Creation Records boss Alan McGee - who discovered the Britpop legends and offered to sign them then and there - and journalist Hamish MacBain. The band's official social media accounts posted a sixteen-second long clip that began as a black screen and slowly faded into a bird's eye view of a house next to a river, with some muted music in the background.
