Bennett continued to act in TV shows such as Sam & Cat, The Big Bang Theory, Shameless, Fresh Off the Boat, American Vandal and Dynasty. After rising to fame for playing Aaron Samuels in Mean Girls, Bennett reprised the role for Grande's 2018 music video, which took inspiration from several iconic teen movies. During the music video, Bennett played the Cliff Pantone ( Jesse Bradford) to Grande’s Torrance Shipman ( Kirsten Dunst) in a nod to the cheerleading movie Bring It On.
