Exodus at Channel Seven continues as another star announces their resignation: 'I've been thinking about this for a long time'

Another Channel Seven executive is parting ways with the network.

Seven confirmed that Mr McPherson - partner to Dancing With The Stars host Sonia Kruger - had suddenly left his position as network director of news and public affairs after nine years in the job. 'Mr McPherson played a pivotal role in leading Seven's news and public affairs offering over two stints at Seven, including a long period of success helming Today Tonight,' a Seven media statement said. He was the fourth executive to leave the network in April following the scandal over Spotlight's lucrative deal with Lehrmann, who was found by the Federal Court to have raped Brittany Higgins on a civil scale.
