This latest development comes after Artem was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence in Napa County, California, on morning of Thursday, August 29. Artem is accused of breaching a California law that penalises "any person who wilfully inflicts upon a person who is his or her spouse, former spouse, cohabitant, former cohabitant, or the mother or father of his or her child, corporal injury resulting in a traumatic condition" with a felony charge. Nikki and Artem met in 2017 when they were paired together on season 25 of Dancing with the Stars, although the retired WWE wrestler was engaged to John Cena at the time.
