Ex-James Bond Pierce Brosnan says he 'sympathises' with Helen Mirren's claims that the iconic franchise is built on 'profound sexism'

The actor, 71, played the iconic spy in four films from 1995 to 2002, but despite his affiliation with the franchise, he said there is 'always going to be conflict' over the character.

Former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan has shared that he sympathises with co-star Helen Mirren's claims that the iconic franchise is build on 'profound sexism' Back in 2015, Pierce also responded to comments made by the most recent James Bond, Daniel Craig, who called his own version of the character as 'not as sexist and misogynist' as previous incarnations.
