Ex-England star's daughter dies at 21 - as he's unable to see her for final time

Bethan's grief-stricken father, former England cricketer and respected sports journalist Steve James, was heartbreakingly unable to return home in time to see his daughter due to travel delays caused by bad weather conditions while he was away covering a Six Nations' match in Ireland. At the pre-inquest review hearing held in Pontypridd, South Wales on Wednesday, 18 September it was revealed that the expected medical cause of death for Bethan was likely sepsis.
