Ex-Amazon & BBC Exec To Run UK’s Creative Diversity Network

Miranda Wayland is to run Creative Diversity Network, having worked at Amazon and the BBC.

Wayland will lead the CDN’s work on Diamond annual reports and other ‘deep dives’ into specific areas, as well as the implementation of a new iteration of the diversity monitoring and reporting tool. She will also be responsible for delivering cross-industry initiatives, working with producers, broadcasters and other TV and creative industry bodies to improve inclusivity and career opportunities for members of under-represented groups. CDN Board Chair Paul Moore said Wayland’s “passion and energy made her the standout candidate in a very strong field,” adding: “CDN received a lot of interest in this role, reflecting the importance the organisation plays within the UK television landscape.”
