Even though some fans argued that the Obi-Wan Kenobi series broke Star Wars canon by having Ewan McGregor reunite with Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader, it’s a dynamic that many want to see revisited in either a season 2 or future project. While the most obvious answer for Ewan McGregor to return would be to give Obi-Wan Kenobi a second season on Disney Plus, the lack of any word on the prospect over two years out suggests the concept is dead in the water. While many of the ideas likely translated into the Disney Plus show, it’s entirely possible for whatever comes next for the character to be put on the big screen as the next tentpole Star Wars film in a similar way to The Mandalorian and Grogu.
