Everything We Know About ‘Moana 2’ So Far
'Moana 2' will take new and familiar faces on an all-new animated adventure.
The official synopsis of the film reads: “After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.” A formidable purple storm complete with swirling vortex makes Maui “miss the lava monster” from the first film in the full trailer. But to save her declining island from starvation, drought and disease, Moana took the emerald gemstone offered to her by her friend The Ocean and sought out the demigod Maui to make him take her to Te Fiti in order to return the heart of the earthly goddess.
