Renée Zellweger will return for 'Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy,' which is headed to theaters in 2025.
Isla Fisher ( Wedding Crashers), Josette Simon ( Anatomy of a Scandal), Nico Parker ( Suncoast, How to Train Your Dragon) and Leila Farzad ( I Hate Suzie) have also boarded the project. There have been three previous films with Zellweger starring as Bridget Jones based on the books by Helen Fielding as well as a column she wrote with the character’s pen name for The Independent. The film is based on the third book in Fielding’s series, and the story will find Bridget in her early fifties, navigating modern life and juggling motherhood.
