Things took a nasty turn after the second Sex and the City movie in 2010, when Kim didn’t want to come back to reprise her Samantha Jones character in a third film. She addressed how Sarah sat with SATC costars Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon at the 2004 Emmys and the three women seemed to avoid the Filthy Rich star at the event. Sarah — who served as an executive producer on both shows — said on The Hollywood Reporter ‘s “Award Chatter” podcast in June 2022 that she respected Kim’s wishes not to reprise Samantha after the Central Intelligence star said she learned about the revival from social media.
