Brett — who shares Miller and older son Hunter with wife Jessica Clendenin was a fan favorite during his time in the Bronx. Former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Fernando Valenzuela died on Tuesday, October 22, at the age of 63 — but his legacy will live on with sports fans for decades to come. He was in the broadcast booth during New York’s spring training game on Sunday, March 23, when the team’s TV play-by-play voice Michael Kay announced Miller’s death.
