Howard’s casting as Elly Conway further fueled the rumors as some people compared the actress’ hair in the movie to the red wig that Swift donned to play a writer in All Too Well: The Short Film. During a January 2024 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Howard admitted that Vaughn was “subconsciously influenced” by an image of Swift carrying her cat in a backpack in her documentary Miss Americana. “And I’m running around the house and I hear a noise, and the kids had seen a Taylor Swift documentary and there was a Scottish Fold in that, and they’d persuaded my wife, Claudia[ Schiffer], to get them the kitten for Christmas.
