In the comedy movie, which is based on the story by Judith Viorst, Longoria plays Val Garcia, the mom in a multigenerational Mexican-American family who set off on a road trip to California. She stars alongside Paulina Chávez, Cristo Fernández, Cheech Marin, Harvey Guillén, Jesse Garcia, Rose Portillo, Jacqueline Torres and Thom Nemer, among many others.
