Eurovision: U.K. Picks Girl Group Remember Monday for 2025 Contest With ‘What The Hell Just Happened?’

Girl group Remember Monday will represent the U.K. at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest with 'What The Hell Just Happened?'

The song was co-written by the group alongside BRIT Award nominees Billen Ted (Tom Hollings and Sam Brennan), Thomas Stengaard — who penned Denmark’s 2013 Eurovision winner “Only Teardrops” — and Julie “Kill J” Aagaard. Friends since meeting at school in 2013, the three performers each have musical theater backgrounds, having appeared in West End productions including “Les Misérables,” “The Phantom of the Opera,” “Mary Poppins,” and “Matilda.” They quit their day jobs to become full-time band members in 2023 and completed their first sellout U.K. tour last year. David May, founder of talent management company Fifteen 04 who led this year’s search for the U.K. entry alongside BBC Studios’ Andrew Cartmell, called Remember Monday “a true class act and a combination of vocal prowess, charisma, professionalism, and unwavering drive.”
