Erik Menendez Blasts Netflix Series ‘Monsters’: ‘Ryan Murphy Cannot Be This Naive and Inaccurate’
The real Menendez brother Erik Menendez reacts to Ryan Murphy's "Monsters" series and accuses Netflix of being inaccurate.
Menendez, who is currently serving out a life sentence with his brother Lyle at the RJ Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego, California, calls out the series for reviving harmful and false narratives about their crime, particularly the misrepresentation of male trauma and sexual abuse. He also states that he was saddened by what he perceives as a backward step in understanding childhood trauma, condemning the series for perpetuating damaging lies and slander. As such, I hope it is never forgotten that violence against a child creates a hundred horrendous and silent crime scenes darkly shadowed behind glitter and glamor and rarely exposed until tragedy penetrates everyone involved.
