With the record-breaking opening weekend of “A Minecraft Movie,” Warner Bros’ EVP of worldwide digital marketing Cameron Curtis is hoping to highlight how the studio tapped social media content creators to generate visibility for the film. Christian Parkes, Neon ’s chief marketing officer, is hoping to hear what the major studios are “planning to do differently” as audience tastes change. As Warner Bros gears up for the release of Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners” and James Gunn’s “Superman,” Curtis and his team are working to re-launch their social footprint with genre-specific channels.
