Emotional Roman Kemp tears up as he breaks his silence on quitting radio show after 10 years - as Radio 1's Jordan North is tipped to replace him


The radio host fought back tears as he announced he is stepping down from his Capital Breakfast show on Monday morning.

It was revealed on Friday that the former I'm A Celeb star quit Radio One's legendary Going Home show and is set to be replaced by Jamie Laing, 35, who will take his place - Monday to Thursday, 3.30pm to 6pm - alongside Vick Hope. Roman also took to his social media to issue his own statement as he added: 'When I started this show I was told to remember it's like a table at the pub with your friends and one chair is empty so the listener can come and join the laughs...'
