Emotional Prince William says Kate's cancer was 'hardest year of my life'

During a solo visit to South Africa, Prince William said he was 'proud' of his father Charles and wife Kate for the way they have handled their cancer diagnosis

Prince William has spoken candidly about the tumultuous period his family has faced, revealing his father King Charles and Kate, the Princess of Wales', cancer diagnoses have made this year an incredibly challenging one. Earlier on, Charles was admitted to The London Clinic for three nights in January due to an enlarged prostate while Kate underwent a near two-week hospital stay following abdominal surgery. Buckingham Palace confirmed on February 5 that the King was battling a form of cancer and only a few days after that, the Princess of Wales also received her diagnosis, which wasn’t public knowledge until the end of March, reports the Mirror.
